Over the past few weeks I have received good news regarding my 2 grant applications with both being accepted in full.
The first success was from the Social Science, Arts and Humanities Research Institute at the University of Hertfordshire. This was a multidiscipline grant award to foster collaborative research between schools. The application was made with Dr. David Gindis from the Business School. The grant will help pay towards a one day workshop in May/June this week on 'Variety of Corporate Governance: Theory, reality and policy. I shall post updates here as an when I have them.
The second success was from the British Academy. This was for their Quantitative Skills Award, which enables me to work with a mentor on defined research projects that involve quantitative empirical analysis so as to enhance my skill set in this area. I will be working with Dr Chidiebere Ogbonnaya at the Eastern Academic Research Consortium. The projects include furthering my analysis on derivative claims and enhancing my existing data set on non-executive directors, most likely with a comparative element. More to follow as and when.
